It is extremely important to me to have a good "fit" with my clients.  Not everyone is an ideal client for me, and I am not the ideal VA for everyone!  Here are some examples of what I look for in a client.

If you've come this far, and think we would be a perfect fit, you'll want to contact me to start the interview process. Interviewing a VA is unique, because you and I will decide together if this partnership is right for us. I have a four part interview process as follows:
  • Part 1: Initial "Getting to know you" call. Usually 15-20 minutes, just enough time for a quick chat and to review the rest of the interview process. This is also the time to ask any pressing questions.

  • Part 2: I will send you a brief assessment to complete and return to me.  This will help me understand if we are on the same page regarding a VA working relationship, and will alert me to anything we may need to discuss in detail.

  • Part 3: This is a more traditional interview, and will last about an hour. There will be time for both of us to ask questions about work style, specific needs and general compatibility.  At the end of this call, we will have enough information to decide if we both want to proceed to the next step in the process.

  • Step 4: My favorite, the in-depth discussion.  I like to think of this as the VA version of premarital counseling.  We will examine each other's expectations, priorities, thoughts on trust, boundaries and how we deal with conflict.  We usually talk about both personal and professional issues and this is the time and place to discuss any and all concerns, no matter how small you think they are.  After this talk, we will both be able to say with confidence whether or not we are a perfect fit.
